| gistlink inc was founded in 2005 with a vision of joining a passion for technology to a passion for sustainable living. So began a process of discovering what a balanced life might look like. My wife and I had our third child in March of 2005 having recently moved from the suburbs of Houston to a mini farm in the rolling hills east of Columbus, Ohio. Gistlink afforded a self balanced workload that allowed much more time in the formative early years of our now three year old son's life. His imaginative mind and confident nature affirm my decision to strive for more balance in my career. The first sustainable technology challenge for gistlink accomplished fixed wireless broadband that serves our rural community. By allowing rural customers the option of telecommuting and using existing structures wherever possible the rural fast internet (rfi) product delivered on our commitment to sustainable solutions. Since then gistlink has expanded to offering Linux based extended lifecycle systems, invested in a local biodiesel production facility to fuel it's vehicles, and embraced the telephony and remote management tools that make site visits a choice rather than a necessity. As most sustainable efforts, the progress is slow but steady. We look forward to you joining us in our vision. |
